The North Carolina Flag Football Association is an independent organization formed in 1995 to promote flag football in North Carolina. We are presently working to add flag football to the NC State Games for 1999. We need volunteers (coaches, officials, directors) if this is to materialize. Teams receive 10 pts. for each win multiplied by the number of teams in the league they are playing. Teams that compete in statewide, regional, national tournaments are ranked separately after the completion of the present season. Tie breaker - head to head.

Note: One & Only formerly played as the Junk Yard Dawgs, then Hooters, and would play the 1995 season as the Champs - 11 years total.
Note: The Cowboys formerly played as The Breeders.
Note: The Cardinals played as the Garner Raiders from 1987 to 1994 - 12 years total.
Note: St. Lawrence Homes played one season each as Timberline Express (1988) and Raleigh Athletic Club (1989) - 11 years total.

Oral McGirt - Head Official, 1987-present.
| No three people did more to make flag football in North Carolina than Randy Bechtolt, Scott Stankavage, and Oral McGirt. Randy Bechtolt supplied the team to beat, Stankavage was the quarterback whose passes we all marveled at, and Oral McGirt was the glue that held it all together frequently throwing that five pound rock. |

You may nominate a player, league organizer, or official for the NCFFA Hall Of Fame by email. Nominees must have played at least 10 years, competed in at least 5 state tournaments and 2 regional or national tournaments. They must be a credit to the league both on and off the field. League organizers and officials are eligible after 10 years.
