1998 NCFFA Championship Game
Blinco's Sports Bar 26 vs St. Lawrence 0
The 1998 Championship game featured two teams that played to a 26 to 26 tie in the regular season. It also featured a match of former North Carolina State University football team mates, Quarterback Terry Jordan and Punter Tim Kilpatrick. In the cold and rain, and the third game of the day for both teams, Blinco's Sports Bar QB Tim Kilpatrick outplayed his former Peach Bowl team mate Terry Jordan to win 26 to 0 over a very good St. Lawrence team. Blinco's, who played previously as L.A. Gear, won for the second year in a row. St. Lawrence was playing in their 7th State Championship Game. It was Blinco's 4th championship game.
The Salisbury North Carolina team played in their 4th straight Semi-Final game (5th NCFFA Championships overall). This years team was probably their most talented, but continued their hard luck streak against St. Lawrence, who they have never beaten.
Phoenix, the Greensboro team, was the surprise of the tournament.
The Hurricanes from Wilmington played great football without most of their players who could not make the trip to Raleigh.
